Highlight of the Month - Spheres
Many of
Chattanooga Boiler and Tank's customers in the Chemical and Power Industry
require the efficiency advantages provided by
Spherical Pressure Vessels over conventional cylindrical pressure vessels. Spheres often offer lower shell weight to volume
ratio of pressurized storage, larger capacity, minimizes corrosion, and less risk of
oxygen ignition and explosion.
Chattanooga Boiler and Tank has
designed, fabricated and erected
numerous Spheres for liquid and gas containment in a wide range of diameters and shell
thickness, and has fabricated spheres out of stainless steel and carbon steel, with
the capability to use more exotic materials. Our trained and experienced shop and
field fabrication units provide the quality and efficiency that our customers demand.
