At Chattanooga Boiler and Tank, Safety is not just a program that we have added on to our operations. Just as we are committed to fabricating and erecting quality stainless steel plate, duplex stainless steel, and carbon steel plate tanks and vessels and meeting or beating the project schedule, safety is an integral part of everything we do.

Safety is especially critical to CB&T, our employees, and our customers because CB&T are involved in industries, the Pulp and Paper, the Chemical, the Power, and Petroleum Industry, that work with dangerous materials and have hectic work environments. To be successful in these industries, one must have an excellent safety record. Excellence in safety is not only nice for the employees, in today's work environment it leads to lower costs, not just for Chattanooga Boiler and Tank, but also for our customers.

From the ground up, safety is integrated into every project we do. From our boilermakers, who are constantly trained in safety practices, to our Foremen, who train, coach and constantly evaluate project safety performance, to our Project Managers, who work towards engineering out safety issues even before the project begins, to our President, who leads the entire safety effort. Excellence in safety performance is our goal on every project.

To support our team, on projects where the safety demands require it, we assign site safety managers to constantly manage the safety effort and provide support for the entire project team through training and job safety evaluations. Additionally, a corporate safety and risk manager also supports the entire safety effort through training, consultation with the Project Management to engineer out safety issues, and as a liaison with owner/customer representatives to ensure a coordinated safety performance.

Some of our recent safety accomplishments include:

• Our fabrication plant accomplished in excess of one year without a loss time accident.
• The last five major field projects have been completed without even a first aid case.
• Our field crews have been recognized on three major projects receiving the highest safety audit scores from the owners corporate safety staff.
