Spherical Pressure Vessel Fabrication and Erection
Many of Chattanooga Boiler and Tank's customers in the Chemical and Power Industry require the efficiency advantages provided by Spherical Pressure Vessels over conventional cylindrical pressure vessels. Spheres often offer lower shell weight to volume ratio of pressurized storage, larger capacity, minimizes corrosion, and less risk of oxygen ignition and explosion.
Chattanooga Boiler and Tank has designed, fabricated and erected numerous Spheres for liquid and gas containment in a wide range of diameters and shell thickness, and has fabricated spheres out of stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, and carbon steel, with the capability to use more exotic materials.
Chattanooga Boiler and Tank's divisions provide the solutions to our customers in the Pulp and Paper, Chemical, and Power Industries. Our Engineering Department has both the experience and education to design the perfect sphere. CB&T's Shop has the ability and technology to fabricate spheres out of traditional materials and more exotic materials. Our Field crews have years of in-the-field experience building vessels and tanks and know how to communicate with the customer and other sub-contractors to ensure a quality product is constructed in a safe and speedy method.
Chattanooga Boiler and Tank also has a Maintenance and Repair Division that offers long-term and one-time contracts for planned and emergency plant shutdowns. Our foremen have years of experience in running effective maintenance contracts and guarantee a smooth shutdown. CB&T has recently opened a Field Services Office in Richmod, Virginia to better serve our customers in the area.
Each of these divisions are monitored by our Quality Assurance staff to ensure that the job is done right, the first time. All of our inspectors are highly trained and deeply experienced.
